Governor Brown, listen to the man. I agree with Mr. Sink - denying the elderly or infirm is not the way to go here. This type of care should be considered part of any society's infrastructure. Make cuts elsewhere Governor.

I saw this coming for several years. After 1 ECH " visit " I had the misfortune of opting to do rehab at one of the " warehouses " near ECH. Yes, Mountain View DOES warehouse it's seniors... I lasted over the weekend....and rejoined the REACH program while staying at the parent's house. I finally pulled up stakes and went back to my older CO house. CA with it's MEDI-CAL and LOUSY support services from VTA is no match for how you get treated as a disabled person in CO. I get door to door LIMO ( CAR not BUS ) service if I ask for it when I need to see a doctor. I rarely do. I also get $$$ for maid service AND adult day care if I want it. ( I don't ). Lastly ( and it's a biggie ), I can tap into a fund to make my house handicapped compliant. CO knows it is cheaper to keep people in their houses if possible. That was and probably still is the state of affairs in Mountain View. Pulling the plug on MEDI-CAL will just be making things worse for the people who made Silicon Valley the hub of the electronics industry in the West Coast. Have you no shame???
