Jobless rates on the rise across Bay Area

Unemployment has increased in several counties across the San Francisco Bay Area, according to a state report released Friday.

It's even higher than the records show considering those out there that no longer get unemployment benefits, but if you ask Washington they will tell you everything is working as intended.

According to SimplyHired.com, a Mountain View-based search engine for jobs, 37 percent of the 130,000 job openings in Silicon Valley are engineering positions. All types of positions in social media, mobile apps, and cloud computing are key job drivers.
