Schools happy with Shoreline compromise

As local parents have come to realize the amount of money Mountain View schools might gain if the Shoreline Community were to be abolished, many have called for the special district to be dissolved. However, for a variety of reasons -- political and otherwise -- two top local school officials have maintained their support for keeping the Shoreline Community alive, even as they have expressed an interest in gathering a larger share of the tax revenues from the special district.

Is this the same Steve Nelson who wrote the ballot statement last year arguing against the high school district funding?

Is this the same $3.2 million dollars per year that Shoreline diverts from the HS local revenue stream? Go read your "public policy debate" manual JH- there are many reasons to urge a 'no' vote on an issue. Just like these are many reasons to handout 400 fliers to urge parents to show up at a City Council meeting. - go figure-
