Jury at an impasse in Carbajal trial

The jury in the trial of Pedro Carbajal ended the week at an impasse Thursday, with the judge ordering them to take a three-day recess and resume deliberations on Monday.

I believe Pedro Carbajal to be innocent. If someone else had came forward and accused him of sexual misconduct the case for him being guilty would be more compelling. No one did. Just the opposite occured. I think the three girls got caught up in a mistake, and found it frightful and impossible to back off.

His word against theirs.

Children can't be expected to have a seamless memory of events, so I think it's a weak argument for the defense to focus on that. The fact that no one else came forward with allegations isn't a strong argument for innocence either, because no connection was established between molestation and promiscuity.

Perhaps everyone should submit to a polygraph.

In my opinion he is very GUILTY!! Make sure he gets enough time in jail, please.
