Today: Premanente trail groundbreaking

Excitement is sure to be found at a groundbreaking ceremony at 2:30 p.m. today for a milestone civil engineering project that extends the Permanente Creek trail from Shoreline Park and Google headquarters over Highway 101 and into residential areas.

Nothing wrong with more trails in town. Can't wait to watch it progress and check it out in 2012.
This also will make a great alternative corridor for those commuting to the companies in the area by bike. Good stuff!

Can't wait for this to get built. The bike path under Hwy 101 near San Antonio Road is closed for 6 months every year. San Antonio Road itself is a death trap for bicyclists. This new path will be a great safety improvement for bicyclists commuting between southern Palo Alto and northern Mountain View to the employers in the north Shoreline area (Google, etc.).
