The SFO board of supervisors are the most arrogant and outrageous , second to none , perhaps Berkeley will come with such mindless plans next, who knows. THese liberals are out of control and they are on a robbing spree to support their cronies six figure salaries.I don't know how these guys get this position. But whoever appointed this board should be put in prison and hanged. The liberals and democrats have run this state to the ground by their support of welfare receipients and illegal immigrants. it is time to fire the city workers and bring costs under control instead of all the mindless ideas of extra fees and tolls.

"San Francisco County Transportation Authority principal transportation planner Zabe Bent was quick to note that the revenue from the pricing plan would be pumped back into transportation projects."

-------------

Really??

Since SF in general is in the red, and specifically their transportation department, its highly likely that the "transportation projects" that Mr. Bent (there's got to be poetic justice at work in that last name) is referring to is really department cost overuns, of which employee salary and benefits currently play the dominant role.

What's hurting them the most is a clause in their labor contract that stipulates that MUNI salaries be automatically adjusted to always be the 2nd highest in the nation, as compared to other transportation agencies.

This is about being green for the environment, its about getting "green" for their mismanaged budget.

"This ISN'T about being green for the environment, its about getting "green" for their mismanaged budget."

It almost brought tears to my eyes when it was announced the MUNI drivers would not be getting their annual Christmas Bonus..................:<)
