I was disappointed to learn that the city council approved the construction of 65 homes along Evelyn Avenue. This council, -- like many before it -- has ignored the negative impact of building more and more housing in this small town. How much traffic congestion are residents willing to endure in Mountain View? This town already has some of the highest housing density on the peninsula. My question to the council is: Will “quality of life” considerations EVER become a priority in Mountain View? The time has come for residents to demand it.

......quite a bit of traffic we suffer from are due to allowing a number of neighbor communities to be bedroom communities that commute to our town's jobs and use our retail rather than build their towns jobs and services.
Also "quality of life", I've heard this thrown around alot but what is it referring to? We have many parks, we have good schools, we have safe neighborhoods. It's true we should consider locations for new schools, and like I said demand neighboring towns to be less traffic inducing leeches.

As long as they make those homes like the cedar shingled ones at their Miramonte project I think it would be great, those homes are wonderful. I have a friend who lives there...
