Let's sing it together, shall we?

If you live in that area (Little Mexico) of Mountain View, and leave your doors or windows unlocked, or is easy to break into, your apartment WILL BE BURGLARIZED. Period, end of story. We now return you to some other news story, that may actually tell you something you don't already know. This one, however, is not news, just business as usual in that neighborhood.

@Eye: "If you ... leave your doors or windows unlocked"

The story doesn't say that she left the door unlocked. It says that the door was unlocked when she came home.
