Sabrina nailed it.
It is too bad our policy makers are scapegoating the teachers. It is the parents and the students who are the problem. If students continue to come to class unprepared and refuse to pay attention and learn, then they will not succeed. Students must understand that they get out of school/learning what they put into it. If parents refuse to turn off the TV, refuse to limit games and social networking, refuse to make education important, then their children will not succeed. Until and unless we get back to hard work and personal responsibility especially for the parents and students, then our nation and future generations will continue to suffer.
