"NASA officials have agreed to spend $20 million on the restoration of Moffett Field's iconic structure, an officials of NASA Ames said Tuesday."
Uh, not so fast NASA 'officials'. For the $20M that you have 'agreed to spend' on this restoration project, comes not from NASA itself.
Allow me to explain further:
See folks - dear TAXPAYERS, that is: It is YOU, who are paying for this restoration. Not that I necessarily disagree with the project, but it IS important that in this day & age of 'bailouts' with TAXPAYER $dollars, that our citizenry understand carefully, where the $Money for these projects comes from.
Pay attention.

I thank all tax paying the citizens of the US for providing the capital, and NASA for deciding to spend some of that capital in this way.
It took two, the tax payers and those who decide how those tax payer funds are used.

Well, will this restoration project employ a few locals, and maybe use materials purchased from some local vendors? If so, it could be a good thing.
