What is wrong with our society that no-one challenges a bank robber, anymore? What happened to armed security guards in banks? I guess that they cost too much, and insurance is cheaper. The only problem with this thinking is that it *encourages* theft. Just walk in and take what you want, no waiting, no challenges, no problem.

The bank doesn't care. They lose a few bucks so they just jack up the fees you pay for the privilege of letting them hold onto your money (or not hold onto it as the case may be).

Employees are told not to resist. Also, what employee in their right mind would challenge a robber? Tellers are hourly employees...why would they risk their life? Think about it "The Eye"

it so easy these days that even a child can rob a bank just showing a small written note. It is understandable as it is not worth losing anyone's life over any amount of money. But I wish they had a good mechanism to alert the nearby police immediately when they sense a crime.

Perhaps robbers are getting bolder. Knowing the MVPD is preoccupied staking out intersections, watching for the dangerous yet profitable California stop.

I'm not encouraging bank robbing, but the banksters cleaned us out and, uh, have plenty of money.

Make bank robbery a capitol crime, old fashioned public hangings are the best way to deter further incidents.

A call for armed guards in banks. Banks don't have them but See's Candy does. Or let citizens arm ourselves. Thugs would think twice of the possibility of 10 people pulling a gun on him or her. These crimes do more than take money. The people that work there will think about this the rest of their lives. This guy needs to be caught.

In Japan there was a bank with double doors. I believe it was bullet-proof as well. If/when the bank was robbed the doors would be locked by hand held remote control devices. He gets out first set, then he is stuck between the two. It would serve 2 purposes. He'd be stuck and customers could point and laugh.

I have lived across the street from this bank for 22 years and it has been hit on numerous occasions. It is a specialty bank with limited customer traffic and only about three employees at any given time. I seriously doubt the robber got much more than a couple grand. An armed guard would cost the that in a couple weeks. On the other hand, allowing law abiding citizens the right to carry would keep criminals nervous, not knowing who around them might be armed.
