$7,500 reward for Mountain View native missing in Santa Cruz

Original post made on Nov 1, 2010

A Mountain View family is offering $7,500 for information leading to the location of their son, Michael DiVerde, who suffers from a mental illness and went missing in Santa Cruz County in early July. His mother, Pam Campbell, said "I would talk to him every other day if not every day. The last time I saw him he was real depressed." I hope they find this man. But I can't help but wonder why it took from July to now to notice he is missing. He could be anywhere after 4 Month's.

@Thom, Please. I'm sure they knew he was missing prior to 4 months ago. Since he's an adult they likely had to go through various other means of searching and have reached a point where they can do no more but reach out to the public, a public who will hopefully be sympathetic to their obvious worry and not try to find some sort of fault with something someone may or may not have done in the last 4 months.

@SnarkPolice - I never said I was not sympathetic. I stated that 4 Month's is a long time and almost anything can happen. I was blaming, if blaming at all the system for waiting this long to get the word out that a sick man is missing. Lord knows I wish no harm to him or any one he comes in contact with.
