Teen's joyride ends in arrest

A 14-year-old Redwood City boy was arrested on suspicion of recklessly evading the police Saturday night. A police officer attempted to pull over a black Ford Ranger, but the driver fled at high speed, blowing through stop signs and making erratic turns and lane changes, police said.

I can not believe this is really news worthy? Can we try a little bit more of human interest journalism around town (events,day-in-the-life stories, etc....something besides these really petty crime stories).

Petty crime? We have different opinions on what is petty. A 14 year driving recklessly and endangering themselves, their passengers and anyone on the road (in a car that is probably stolen since no reasonable person would lend them a car) seems like a lot more than a petty crime.
