My concern is that there are so very many kids who either are transferred to Alta Vista High School or to Adult Ed. They are listed as transfers, but many of them never do finish high school. It's great to have SAT scores, but is MVLA really serving all of its kids?

How come stories like these generate 50+ responses on the Palo Alto Weekly board and only one response here? Maybe that says something about the lower scores.

If these tests were given via text message I bet the scores would be higher. How many of these students consider english a second language? Or, let me guess. These tests now come in an assortment of languages?

Trion, as long as our kids don't start leaping into CalTrains I'll take the lower scores over PA's over-pressured kids.

What I recommend is to go with one of those good test prep company. We had a great experience with ClarityEd Web Link . Their SAT Test Prep Web Linktest-prep/sat/ , AP Test Prep Web Linktest-prep/ap-exams/ , GMAT Test Prep Web Linktest-prep/gmat/ , and ACT Test Prep Web Linktest-prep/act/ are top of the line.
