I have the utmost respect and admiration for the PHS where I have adopted several cats over the years for myself and with friends. I now have a beautiful calico, yes she is orange, white and black in keeping with this theme. Even if you adopt at the full price it is still a deal. A regular vet hospital charges over $250 for the procedures that PHS does for under $100. The current discount is too good to pass up.

Anyone thinking of getting a pet during the Holiday season should consider doing so now to avoid the stressful introduction during holiday activities.

A great idea, but remember the Taco Bell dog? Mass amounts of folks ran to buy one of those little guys. Now, look at what's up for adoption. Pit Bulls and Chihuahua's. Let's hope that these cats don't end up back at the pound, or worse and being left to fend for themselves when the holiday is over. Same with people buying rabbits on or near Easter.

I thought that pounds don't even let people adopt black cats near Halloween. Now they're practically giving them away?

I wish everyone would spay and neuter their pets so there are not so many animals in need of homes. Pets are a huge responsibilty and cost over time. I really hope that these cats found truly good homes that are prepared to care for them for their whole lives.

Yes, because the fears were unfounded and now 50 kitties have loving homes. Good thing!
