Would have preferred cutting all weekend service, until an electrified Caltrain is in place. The health and well being of all peninsula residents, would have gained from it.

As someone who lives just a few blocks from Caltrain's Mountain View station, I would love to be able to take Caltrain up to San Francisco for an evening up in 'the City' - but usually I can't, because the last southbound train is at midnight. This is too early. If Caltrain had just one later southbound train (e.g., 2am) - even just on Friday and Saturday nights - then it would get a lot of business from people spending the evening up in San Francisco.

Every New Year's Eve Caltrain has a special southbound train at 2am. When I took this train last New Year's Eve, the train was *packed*. Why can't Caltrain run this train regularly (at least on Friday and Saturday evenings)? People have been asking for this for years.

Even more ridiculous: The last northbound train from San Jose is at 10:30pm!

Caltrain has lousy frequency because we do not support it with a dedicated source of income. In the very near future expect a ballot proposition to form a special district that gives Caltrain the dedicated operating funds it sorely needs.
