El Camino takes part in major Parkinson's study

A clinical trial, set to begin this fall at El Camino Hospital aims to figure out a way to objectively determine if someone is suffering from Parkinson's with simple tests. Currently, it takes a battery of exams to diagnose the devastating disease.

There was a study not long ago that indicated that methamphetamine provided relief to Parkinson's patients. Whatever happened to that? "Medicinal meth" would be consistent with the distinctly surreal nature of the 21st century so far.
