Nick you're a little behind in this story - "Cyrus Cesar Wietecha of Santa Clara was taken into custody at 10:50 a.m. by Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety officers and Santa Clara Police detectives." Slow news day I take it.

If it were a really slow news day then we'd see an article about a 1.3 earthquake east of San Jose like they regularly run.

I guess they caught the small thieves. When are they going to catch the big time thieves running our city paying themselves big salaries, pensions, overtime salaries..I guess thats OK because the cops are getting paid the same thieves running our city.

Mr Wietecha is of course innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. But if he turns out to be the robber -- good job local PDs!

It seems that no matter what subject may be in print,(I'm referring to the bank robber story, above, this time) huddled masses of REAL lonesome "bloggers" commence to crawl out of their holes and pound on the ol' keyboard. Where their responses go is kind of entertaining in a very pathetic way. It is obvious that some folks just don't have a life but, what life they do have, is laced with real hate, vindictiveness and cowardice. Of course it's easy to sit in a darkened room and pound this drivel out anonymously, isn't it?

Mr jupiterk - Maybe the reason this city is running so well and the police are catching the bad guys is because we are paying them what they are worth. If you we were not paying them well these people would be working else where and the quality of the services would drop and crime would be higher than it is.
