Too often, new articles about education overemphasize the negatives and shortcomings of our schools, and do not provide the broader context like you have. Overall, I believe Mountain View schools are excellent. Most children who attend our schools get a very good education. While we could do a better job of educating English language learners, we should not lose sight of the larger picture and great work our teachers and school administrators our doing.
