County: 2.1 quake rattles east foothills

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.1 struck Wednesday evening in Santa Clara County.

More news you can't use. Tiny earthquakes happen all the time. Are you going to start reporting on every fender-bender now?

Ditto what "Useless" wrote. This is CALIFORNIA, dudes! We have REAL earthquakes here! If a quake isn't 4.5 or better, it's not worth a story.

A quake story like this is like reporting that a start-up got $2.1K in venture capital -- no story at all!
