With our economy (and unemployment) in the state it's in at present, aren't there more important things we all need to be working on than creating more "Mega Mecca Marts"?

Can we bring Menu Tree back?

My fervent and primary hope is that the new complex will be inviting to pedestrians. Anyone who walks to and around the current complex knows what a mess it is; drivers always seemed surprised or annoyed when encountering someone on foot.

Let the building begin! May we who have been waiting and wishing so long for this to happen be lucky enough to live to see it.

"With our economy (and unemployment) in the state it's in at present"--and financing available at low rates--this is a superb time to move ahead with redevelopment in Mountain View. This is exactly the sort of project that provides many construction jobs while revitalizing a valuable but run-down area.

Am I the only one who does not want a Santana Row in Mountain View? Downtown Sunnyvale is looking ugly to me, and they are trying to do the same thing?

I find your comment interesting. You don't want another Santana Row created at San Antonio Center, but what do you suggest instead? I think most people would acknowledge that what we have there now isn't very appealing, or friendly for people walking around. What would you like to see there?

On your comment about downtown Sunnyvale, have you taken the time to walk around in the Town Center area and see what is actually going on? Sure, it's still under construction and as a result there are some missing pieces, but what they have finished - the new Target store, the new streets & sidewalks, and the total overhaul of Murphy Avenue - is pretty impressive. I'd rather have something like Sunnyvale Town Center over at San Antonio Center than what is there now.

Last I heard the powers behind the redevelopment of downtown Sunnyvale were bankrupt.

Any one have any idea how tall the proposed apartment buildings in this proposed San Antonio center are slated to be? I've heard both five and ten stories high.

When there are two groups of comments on the same article, like this one, can the Voice consolidate them?

Yes I agree with Reba, lets bring back the Menu Tree to the revamped section of the San Antonio Center.
