I hope people that may own restaurants take this to heart. Not only does grease invite fire but also cockroaches. At least no one was hurt.

I hope they don't go the way of "Spice Islands Cafe" and "Cardona's Pilipino Fast Food". Both places never reopened after they caught fire.

Are they still selling their delicious kabobs? Hopefully they won't get shut down by the Health dept. or Fire Dept. for violations.

the owners are rude and overcharge and sometimes they add up phony items. people, please be aware, if you shop there and buy more than 3 or 4 items. i have experienced they always charge me more.

I agree with jupiterk. I go there to buy kabobs all the time. The cashiers (owners?)sometimes overcharged me (by mistakes??). I buy their kabobs and cookies as well as groceries. Now I always look at the receipts.

"it was caused by an accumulation of grease in the kitchen"
Yuck. Yet another reason why I am glad to be a vegan.

jupiterk, Ole.... if you don't like the place.. why you go there then in first place?
I hope that they reopen and that other restaurants take care of the kitchens after this incident.... probably it could have been any of the places around Mountain View.

Something is terribly wrong with Rose Markets cooking ventilation. The smoke that fills the surrounding homes/streets is awful. Walking the neighborhood any time of day, 7 days a week, a cloud of gray/white smoke is thick. I often wonder in the winter people are getting notices about their fire place smoke.....we what about this place and it's smoke, year round! And we're talking heavy smoke, not just aroma of cooking meat. The store needs to get serious about ventilation or stop the 'outdoor' cooking.

I agree with Rosey of St Francis Acres Oct 9, 2010.... why is Rose Market exempt from fire place smoke fines? Here in January, 2011 there were many Spare the Air days, people trying to heat their homes are threatened with fines yet Rose Market billows thick smoke 7 days a week! What's up with that? Walking the neighborhood is like the old days spending an evening in a bar....had to go home and wash hair and air out clothing.
