Learning to stretch a dollar in Kenya and Haiti

Indoor plumbing and electricity have been at the fore of Diana Chou's mind of late, and not because the recent Los Altos High School graduate is planning on getting into the construction business. Chou says that ever since she returned from a humanitarian trip to Kenya last month, she has been thinking about all the little things she takes for granted.

LAHS is doing good around the world...way to go! Kudos to all the students and teachers for giving so much and making the world a better place. My son graduated from there a few years ago. It has always been a great school and now even more so.

This looks like a great program. The best way to help foreign education - and to incidentally learn about foreign cultures - is to visit and help overseas schools. Maybe this will generate a few Peace Corps volunteers in the future.
