Survey: Bay Area workers highest paid in 2009

Workers in the Bay Area were the highest paid on average in the nation last year, according to data released Friday, July 23, by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Not if they are working non-union jobs in the entertainment industry here.

You would never know it considering how we love to use the Day Laborer Center and just love living off the back of illegal immigrants living in squalor along California Ave.

Cost of live index in Mountain View is 160% of the national average.

So does that mean that while salaries in the bay area are 20% above the national average the cost of living in the bay area is 60% above the national average?
