Open windows prove open invitation to burlgars

Original post made on Jul 26, 2010

Cash, jewelry and more than $1,000 in electronics were taken from two local homes by burglars who gained entry through open windows. During the summer Mountain View police often see a spike in burglaries, as people leave windows open to help keep their houses and apartments cool while they are away.

Are the burglaries happening because of open windows or because of the neighborhood? North Rengstorf? Escuela?

first of all, its a bad neighborhood. there are too many youngsters aka gangsters in that area. if you live in that area, you better to close and lock door even you step out to throw your garbage or go to laundry or check your post box. these thieves have figured out everything and they are just waiting for the right moment. lot of these youngsters have no real job or not going to college/school of any kind. just looking for victims because they think that stealing is OK. bad and irresponsible parents create a society of criminals, thugs, murderers, drug dealers. most of the south american countries are good example of what a society we should not become.

Our house in Old Mountain View was broken into a couple of years back. It was in the middle of the afternoon during Christmas break, when we stepped out for a few hours to visit friends. There was no open window; someone broke a window in the back of the house to enter a back bedroom. Anyway, these kind of crimes can occur in any neighborhood; securing windows and doors is important, but an active neighborhood watch is also helpful.

Securing windows and doors should be second nature to all, but more importantly awareness and your readiness to defend your family and person al property from egregious attack or breach. A few punks looking for quick trip into the earth and probably for the first time in their life succeeding at something can act as a strong deterrent to their peers; at least that’s what the folks down in Texas subscribe to and apparently with much success.

EVERY MT. VIEW RESIDENT SHOULD VISIT [CrimeReports.Com] SET UP YOUR EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS FOR YOUR AREA, PUNKS ARE EASY TO PREDICT, EVERY HOLIDAY THEY APPEAR,DURING YOUR VACTION THEY APPEAR, THEY HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOU, YOUR NEIGHBORS LEAVING OUT EASY OPPERETUNITIES. BECOME AWARE, TWO OR THREE PROPERTY CRIME EMAIL FLAGS AND ALL YOU NEED DO IS LOOK OUT THE WINDOW AND THEY WILL BE VERY EASY TO SPOT, THEY STAND OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB WITH THIER HEADS ALWAYS ON A SWIVAL, DONT BE FOOLED BY THIER AGE, LOOK OUT FOR YOUR NEIGHBOR, IF YOU CANT HELP BUT BE A EASY MARK, UP YOUR LIFE INSURANCE & IF TROUBLE PRESISTS CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT.
