I read what henri wrote and I do not know the Police chief, but I'v been stopped by the Mountain View Police at least 10 times only this year. They always tell me that is routine, I wrote a letter to the City and to the chief about it , but I have not gotten any reply yet. So, it makes me think maybe because, I am from another country and I do not have a good english spelling or I do not look like an American the police are targeting me. I feel like I'v been discriminated. Also, I work at google and I can tell that if you work as a contractor you are treated like nobody in this company. So I have to agree with what henri stated...

Well since this has become a police issue I have this to share. I also have been stopped by MVPD a few times for no reason. I was stopped by the same officer three times in a row. I always asked the reason why was i been stopped and he always said that it was routine. The last time I asked for his badge number and his name. He asked why? I said that I was going to make a complain about him, because it turned into a harassment. He said that" don't need I will call my supervisor so you can talk to him" The supervisor came and did not help me at all the only thing they did was to laughed at me. I don't know if the officers were racist or not, I'm from Jamaica and maybe that could be the reason, cause you know strong English accent and the color, but who knows...

I also got pullover by Mountain View PD for an unbelievable reason! I was driving to the dog park at Shoreline and got stopped. I was driving in the speed limits , had my belt on and everything in my car was legal , I had no problem. I asked the Officer " What did I do?" He said that the reason was! I had my 4 months old dog in the front seat without the belt on and the 4 months old puppie could jump on me and I could easily lose control of the vehicle. He gave a citation for it. I could not believed it, so I talked with a Santa Clara PD Officer who I know and he said this words" That was the stupidest reason He ever heard" and I should take the matter to the court and I did it. When the judge asked what happened, I told Her and She said "GOD have mercy" and dismissed the citation... I am also from another country" and in my case would not say it was a discriminatory issue, but just a Super Cop trying to be bully, but about it MVPD thumbs down..

Folks always remember cops always gonna be cops bad or good racist or not racist good chief bad chief like or not it is what it is! I have a friend who has been a cop in Mountain View for many years and my friend told me that the old chief was more friendly and more open minded than the one who is in charge now. I would like to see someone who is outraged by the excessive compensation of city employees like the city manager,attorney,librarian(s) and the overtime pay of many of the police and fire fighters. Most of the city council acts like a rubber stamp with absolutely no common sense or outrage with respect to the greed in our soceity. I also would like to see these loan programs stopped to some special employees. Women are no more better than men when it comes to governing. power corrupts both genders equally.
