Fake cop may have victimized county residents

Law enforcement officials are seeking Santa Clara County residents who may have been victimized by a 27-year-old San Jose man who was arrested Monday on suspicion of impersonating a police officer in Atascadero.

County, while that can include the incorporated areas such as cities, it sounds like he was out in the boonies/unincorporated areas which would be the country. CHP patrol the roads out there, and Sherrifs department do the regular/routine police calls. Either one would be easier to impersonate then a regular city cop.

I wonder if the various police departments have compared notes to see if this guy was the same one with a police radio showing up in sight of San Mateo area police traffic stops, making false dispatch calls, and also taunting the police over their frequencies?
