Is it me, or does anyone else feel like the CSMA doesn't have the public visibility you'd think an organization like it is should/would have?

CSMA does have visability, I agree it should have more, but in the past few years their involvement in organizations outside of Mtn. View has grown. There are more arts outreach programs, particularly the school based Arts In Action classes, outside of MVWSD (of which CSMA has been a part of for over 30 years) and there is now an involvment with Abilities United in Palo Alto-- offering art classes to developmentally disabled children and adults. There are few facilities of this kind anywhere in the bay area that does as much as CSMA does.

It should definitely have more. The preschool program is grossly under promoted. With the exception of the most recent Fall schedule that just appeared, schedules have in the past few years been very late to publication not allowing parents ample time to plan. I know. I've been living with it. Otherwise, it's a great organization.

Not trying to place blame or anything. But, yes, the CSMA seems to me to have very very little public exposure and visability. I get mailings for not only Foothill's regular academic quarters, I get a semi-annual mailing for their Impact short-courses. I hear about the Children's Theater in Palo Alto ad naseum.

Yet even though I live in Mountain View, the only exposure I've ever had to the CSMA is driving past their builiding.

H says that there 'are few facilities of (its) kind anywhere in the bay area that does as much as (it) does'..... yet you would never know it if you lived in MV.

So......
