This seems to make good business sense. However, the size of the City Attorney staff seems a bit large, maybe it is time to not backfill any now-vacated lower positions.

Additionally, I sure hope this office will revisit the City practice of bulldozing the bicycle recreation areas along the Stevens Creek Trail. Just about a week ago the City cleared out some ankle-high bumps with a Bobcat that my kids had been using just north of Middlefield Road. I am assuming that when the City did this grading, and when they did the more substantial sabotage and grading of the bike area near Central Avenue, they did so without the OK from the State Department of Fish and Game, which seems to have likely been needed when they graded in a riparian habitat along Stevens Creek. Talk about liability for the City. Now the City has created a weed and brush area that seems to be a nice fire hazard and an area that might just require City maintenance forever more.
