Again, no description of the suspects! How can the public help apprehend these "hide-behind-a-weapon" cowards? Guess we just keep our eyes open for punks, eh?

Unless I miss my guess here, the victims count as witnesses. So...

...what is the description of the thieves?

C'mon, help us out, here!

Actually the Daly city man got mugged by 3 people, assuming that he paid for the dinner for the woman he was with. I pity the man.

If the two people who were allegedly robbed can't even say what the two robbers *vaguely* looked like, this story should never have been printed, as it is not newsworthy unless it informs *and* helps the public.

This story fails miserably in the "helps the public" part, as all it does is create paranoia. How do we know it really happened at all?

Answer: We don't.

More (obvious and suspiciously missing) evidence, please, or don't waste our time, OK?

I think The Voice just left out certain information that they assumed we would be able to figure out for ourselves.

We all know what race they were.

We do? I don't.

Who is "we", Linette? It's got to be you and The Voices, because it definitely doesn't include me.

Let's take inventory: $25 bucks in cash, bank cards that are no doubt deactivated, a used wallet, and a cell phone that is also deactivated and probably comes free with a 2 year plan...

vs.

Risking arrest and jail time where "Bubba" gives you dirty looks in the showers, and criminal record that guarantees you flipping burgers until you retire...

yeppers, crime doesn't pay.

What a horrible experience being robbed at gun point, it will be something to cause dread for a long time. The police should patrol these parking structures. A few days ago we saw a group of men hanging around inside the other parking structure on California street. We hated to leave our car there, they were still when we returned a hour later.

That's right folks, it's time for us to all carry guns to rid the streets of these punks.

A well-armed citizenry is the best deterrent to crime. Compare the crime rates in states and cities that support Second Amendment rights with those that embrace "gun control" and it is obvious enough for anyone to see.

This is maybe the only thing I agree with the GOP on.

CCW should be a right for all non-convicts (as long as you get the needed training...just like using another tool we have called a car.)

Currently a bad guy knows that there is a 99.99% chance you are not armed, and if he is...then no worries for him.

Criminals are cowards.

Put the guns in to the good guys hands, and things get a lot more civil for everyone.

Explain to me exactly how this would have gone differently if the victims were armed. At what point would they have drawn their weapons? What do you think the result would have been? Arming yourself may make you feel more secure but the reality is that you are more likely to end up getting shot in many situations.

Instead of this:
Robber 1: See those two over there, lets rob them!
Robber 2: OK, not like they can stop us!

We'd get this:
Robber 1: See those two over there, lets rob them!
Robber 2: Sorry, but I don't want to get shot over $25.
Robber 1: OK, Let's go somewhere that they can't carry guns.

p.s. As I mentioned before, people should not use a gun without training, just like a car. Neither are for the untrained.

MV Police is too busy issuing tickets for parked cars with missing from license plates. Besides, it can be very unsafe for a police officer to go after an armed robber whereas issuing tickets can help with the city budget problem

Many of the aqbove comments ask "what is the description of these punnks.... certainly they could have been described as Cauc, hispnic, black, etc.. either from seeing them or accents.. These details are essential if the public is going to have any clue.

I also agree, if 20 or 30 % of the citizens had CCW Permits, these kind of punks would never know who was armed.... best defense in the world, an armed citizenery. Check out the book on Amazon entitled "More Guns, Less Crime"... great read, full of real life stats.. not emotional stupid fears of the libs.

If they don't have a photo of the "punks", I'm not sure how the person's race will make a difference....? Are you going to hide from everyone of that race from then on? Or just the ones of similar height and weight?

You mentioned "emotional stupid fears of the libs"...does this make you a lib?

For those of you who say "Carrying a gun just means you'll get shot" forget that cops carry guns.

Why do you think that is? So they can increase their chances of getting shot?

Of course not. It provides them with a tool to defend themselves or others from danger.

Does it work 100%, No. Sadly sometimes cops die.

But a majority of the time they don't die. Most of the time they don't even have to fire their weapon. Just showing it gives them an advantage.

Why wouldn't you want that same advantage?
