Despite months of requests, as far as I know, The Stanford Theatre will not be doing anything special for its 85th birthday (sadly). However, as this is such a momentous milestone - especially nowadays, when city councils approve the destruction of so many things, often times ignoring public outcry - for this classic Hollywood palace, we cannot let it go unnoticed! If you are free this Wednesday evening, why not spend a few hours at the theatre? Our wish is to have the entire palace filled, with loud claps, etc from the audience before and after each curtain!
Two fabulous pictures will be presented on stage that evening:
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945) at 7:30, and The Late George Apley (1947) at 5:40 & 9:45
Please join us this Wednesday to help give thanks for 85 years of classic Hollywood magic & mystique in Palo Alto. The Stanford Theatre is truly one of America's greatest treasures.
Tell your friends and family, and see you at the show!
