No doubt, just one great example of a citizen was arrested. I'm sure if he were growing poppy-producing heroin you'd have no problem either. Arrest them, throw them in jail, and put their house and car on the auction block as allowed by law for trafficking in drugs. These people need to be shown the door out of Mountain View. If they want to get high, they can go to some other sanctuary city and enjoy themselves. The City Council could use the money as well.

I want the police to arrest every last marijuana grower, marijuana seller and every marijuana user. This city has had murders associated with marijuana, assaults associated with marijuana and just about every other type of crime.
This is the best use of police time and taxpayer funds. The police are doing exactly what is right and they should be applauded.

Excellent Job - We don't need a bunch of marijuana houses in your neighborhoods.

I think pot should be legal, both on a federal and state level, no question.
Having said that, it is still an illegal drug. The problem with growing it is that bad guys will come and take it from you. And because it is worth a LOT, they will hurt you or others around you to do it. There have been several violent robberies of casual growers and collectives in the Bay Area.
Until pot is totally legalized and there is free trade or at least not the black market trade that goes on now, at least pot growing in the open should not be tolerated. If someone can see it from the street or with little/no effort, then that shouldn't be tolerated.
