Mayor disputes housing editorial

I was surprised to read your May 7 editorial regarding the City Council's approval of the Prometheus project on Evelyn Avenue. You characterized the council as "ready to do anything to encourage development and retail development downtown," with the added implication that the council disregarded the risk of "traffic gridlock, impossible parking and an imposing, four-story facade".

Well

You have made your decision, have fun with it. The study you point to is nothing more then a joke lacking informative information. It appears you do not understand inclusion and diversity as a healthy and vibrant activity.

The EIR study was contracted as was your decision.

I have tried to locate your FPPC number, however you may not have filed for one yet, I really do not know or care at this point.
