I don't know if this article was written with the intention of "Marie" asking for us, MV voice readers, to help her.. but I would sure like to give her some advice. First and foremost, do not give up. Although times are tough, there is so much to live for. With a bachelor's degree in business administration, you should first send your resume to a temp agency like AppleOne. Many of my friends have turned to them and have successfully found GREAT jobs. I have been an executive admin for a few years now and have had many job offers come my way ever since. Here are a few places you should send your resume to:
1. Real Estate companies i.e. Coldwell Banker, Century 21, Remax, etc.
2. Executive Suites i.e. Regus, Alliance, Plug & Play (These companies are ALWAYS looking for qualified office managers)
3. Hotels like the Marriot, The Hilton, The Westin are also always looking for good office managers.
4. Any retail store
One thing to always remember is that we always take life for granted until things are unexpectedly taken away from us. It sucks, but you can only learn from it and grow. I hope everything works out for "Maria" and she becomes a happier, STRONGER person.
