City taps Utah chief to head Fire Department

Bradley Wardle, a veteran firefighter from Utah, will head the Mountain View Fire Department beginning on April 30, city officials said.

How old is this guy? I hope we can keep him around awhile, providing he is any good. Only 3-4 years on his last gig. Mt. View doesn't need to become the land of golden parachutes like some of our neighbors have. I'm looking at you Los Altos.

I agree with you Spaghetti Freddie about keeping him around for a while, but when you are talking Fire Chief positions yov've got too consider some things. Often times by the time someone has the training, education & experience to be a Fire Chief for a department that individual is close or at retirement age for a career firefighter.
