You're very welcome. I had a couple of Palo Altan friends who stayed with me last night, bringing perishables from the fridge and laundry that they needed to do.

We're supposed to help each other out like that.

Although I am perhaps a bit understandably proud, and most certainly glad, that you found a good welcome.

I'm glad that you have shown concern for those who died and the neighbors who had their property destroyed. Reading PaloAltoOnline it seemed that much of the focus was on the power loss and not the loss of life.

Speaking for the city I can say we were happy to have you given the circumstances.

I actually hate paloaltans and paloalto. But i have no problem in visiting our town occassionally. Just don't do it too often. I may get mad and leave this town if it becomes another PaloAlto. Wait a sec..It has already become another PaloAlto with too many yuppie , leftwing dirtbags with no common sense.

It just feels so good to know that Palo Altans and Mountain Viewians can get along in such trying times. So maybe now we can get access to Foothill Park? That's the neighborly thing to do.

I am a Palo Alto resident.
I watched the Olympics.
Some of the comments here make me feel sick to my stomach. I heard there are chefs there in Mountain View. I heard that you created and provide free internet services and problems.
I know there are wonderful people in Mountain View, just a few careless thinkers?
If Palo Alto is your northern neighbor with the park care of a Palo Alto ID, then I am even more impressed with the graciousness of our true northern neighbor...Canada!

You'd think that Palo Alto was the center of the earth. God forbid they go without their laptops and lattes for a day. This trajedy happened in East Palo Alto. I feel sorry for East Palo Altans. They are always getting dumped on by Palo Altans.
