We need more high density low cost Housing so crime will be more acceptable in the community downtown. People will get more comfortable with our buildings over time.

With the number of police officers fighting crime in Mountain View you'd think one would be close by. Maybe giving someone a ticket for tapping ashes on the ground is a more serious crime to devote time to.

Talk about your random crimes. What do people expect the Police to do? If you want to live in a high density city move to San Francisco. Mountain View is a town in the suburbs, let's keep the town feeling to it. This is the first town I've lived in which an portion of the residents actually want more apartment housing.

View look like we are in the dark ages. Just do you part. This economy is bound to bring out more desparation in people. Until you spend a day/week in the shoes of a police person I suggest you quit bitching about how they don't do anything and be thankful they are up to the challenge of defending your freedoms. No one is perfect, including you all - when you have the guts to be a police officer and vow to put your life on the line everyday then you can complain until then - be glad you weren't the teller who had a knife drawn on her/him.
