I live near those train tracks and near the Shopping Center....I hope it wasn't a suicide. It's so sad that during a time of family and cheers, some person could be going through hell...And that hell would lead that person to do something like this :(

What we truly need, is to take better care of each other, so that things like this won't ever happen.

Unfortunately it was a suicide. I knew him a little bit and he tried this couple of times. So sad there was no one around to see his problems and do something about it. He was a very kind, gentle young man, he had a trouble childhood and was still desperately searching for love... Hope he is at better place now; rest in peace Alex!

as unfortunate as it is there will always be people who choose to end thier lives by jumping in front of a train. as it is, we have trains running through our city.it is sad , if not gruesome to see these things happen on a regular basis. its a sign of the times.

It's amazing to me how we see a problem and know it exists but yet we try to pass it off to another person. We then try to make ourselves feel better by saying, 'well, they are now in a better place'. Hell is not a better place, for the families of the person nor for the person who took their own life. Whether you knew him a bit or much, he's tried this on more than one occasion and was unfortunately able to succeed this time. There was someone around to see his problems...

I live in Sunnyvale but I am familiar with the location where Alejandro took his life. My heart goes out to the loved ones Alejandro left behind. May Alejandro rest in peace. Depression and suicide is very common during the holidays so I can understand how easy someone can reach the point where Alejandro found himself. I'm thankful that Peter posted the link for Suicide Prevention. There isn't enough money spent on community awareness for programs like this. It's up to each of us to spread the word and share these resources with young and old. Suicide does not discriminate on age..
