The fact that these cuts are even being considered is sickening.

I think the trustees are under some kind of hypnotic trance put on them by MG, but it's worth a try to contact them and tell them to CUT ADMINISTRATOR'S PERKS, NOT STUDENT SERVICES

The solution is to have Google pay for the aides to cover the costs for the next fiscal year. If Google Elementary School wants to remain on the Slater School Campus, they should kick down the chump change to cover the cost of the aides. Leasing away Slater School should have created some budget augmentation for the MVWSD. Between Google Elementary and Google Airport, the City of Google should have some revenue floating around to cover the cost of helping autistic children attend school in Mountain View.

There is no hope for this school district.

We live in a status quo that favors rich folkm; things must change nolw. People need to stand up and be counted, not sit back and do nothing and hope that everything turns out alright!

I was at the meeting for a little and I believe that the item was removed from the agenda - by the district - to further negotiations. Continue public input to Trustees@mvwsd.k12.ca.us

The parents -- and possible some students -- could totally take legal action.

My neighbor (who was last year honored at a board meeting for 20 years service to the district) is one of these aides. She said that services to students were cut, so now the district is cutting their hours. She made it sound like her job had already been cut.

Does the Voice know what transpired at the board meeting last Thursday?

The board meeting agenda's are posted on the district website but I can't find the minutes posted anywhere.
