Original post made by sean, Sylvan Park, on Nov 28, 2009

within the last week there has been a dramatic increase in the amount of graffiti between 85 and san antonio road. i drive up and down this area daily and it is starting to look awful. both sides of the street black graffiti red graffiti white graffiti all over the place. mountain view is a beautiful place and i have lived here 10 years and raised my daughter here. crazy stuff i hope the city cleans it up asap and puts an end to it.

MVPD has a graffiti enforcement ph number.

Owners are required to clean it up--within 1 week I think. Or the city will clean it for them and send them a bill....

I've used this number before and it did get results. You'll need the name of the business AND the exact street address.

But I've also noticed the graffiti...Togos managed to start cleaning theirs up.

yeah togos got hit hard, i work near there and its just an eye sore as well as a surprise to me. el camino in mountain was beautiful 3 years ago and now its sad driving up and down with all the used car dealers that have closed and empty buildings then add in the graffiti and it kinda saddens me. thanks dave for the # and info ill give it a try. i also agree that police should catch these people, how hard can it be? check the local high schools and ask students about tagger names and if they have seen certain tags, you will get a response and narrow it down from there.....its not rocket science and i do understand mvpd has other things to do but how busy can they possable be? its not oakland!
