Over the years, Foothill College's KFJC, which broadcasts at 89.7 FM, has pulled hilarious publicity stunts, garnered serious awards and earned national press. The most recent milestone: celebrating its 50th anniversary.

I do recall that, during the last recession, tuition increased to $400+ and many of the DJs paid it to keep broadcasting.

They are not all punk; some good blues, bluegrass and acoustic thru the middle of the days. The contrast with the succeeding programing is often startling.

Congrats to my second favorite radio station! I have been listening for 42 of the years-- (really makes me feel old to write that)
Now that we live in Hawaii my ears are not on as often as in the past, but I still have ties to Mid-Pen so get to listen at least a couple times live as well as streaming when I am tethered to the Mac for whatever reason.
