I think Apt.Complexes should have video cameras installed so that it helps to identify suspects in cases like this and in addition they need to make sure Apartments are safe and secure from intruders and robbers with good doors and windows. I hope Apartment Owners realize that tenant safety is important as collecting rent and depositing them in the bank.

My apartment is on the third floor. This makes me feel safe. I hope I'm not kidding myself.

I live in the complex where the fist home invasion happened in September in Mountain View. I hope and pray that the police will find this guy so that we can all live in peace and security without fear that it will happen again.

My thoughts are with the victims and hope that they heal and have a good support system to help them get through this.

Make sure your secure your windows and doors at all times! Don't just do it at night, you never know when a scumbag will attack. See the other story about the victim attacked at 7 AM.

Also, make sure you are armed, preferably with a shotgun. The sad truth is that not police department in the world can save you from harm. They can investigate, arrest and jail the scumbags, but they can't be there at the time of the crime.

I think MVPD needs to look at the gardeners in some of these incidents some of these gardeners look shady.

I mean no disrespect, but you wake up and someone is pointing a gun at you. What do you say, Excuse me, I think I need to get my gun? Stats are that guns owned by homeowners are more often than not used against them in situations like this. I appreciate the sentiment. Nothing would be better than one of these scumbags being blown halfway to Sunnyvale, but it is not what usually happens.

Haven't you heard? We are the happiest city; therefore, we are not violent. I hope the police catch this guy before one of you take action. Of course make sure it is the right guy. I hate to read that resident shoots family member thinking he was a burglar.
