Now, why is the existing tracks the only route considered, especially when it requires an entire rebuild of everything along it, and disruption to all neighborhoods and roads.
Wouldn't it be cheaper and better to run the whole thing down the center of 101 and then have light rail/shuttle buses to connect to downtowns that want it? has any other route ever been considered?
i thought the high speed trains will only run a few times a day anyways.
seems that cost is not an option to this overall design, just the idea that it must run through the existing tracks lines at any cost.
