The legacy of Charles Kao

Mountain View resident Dr. Charles Kao is the godfather of broadband thanks to his pioneering work with fiber optics in the 1960s, which revolutionized global communication. Earlier this month he was recognized for his achievements with a Nobel Prize in physics.

Congrats to Mr.Kao, a true visionary indeed. But it seems none of his work is anything to do with Mountain View or any of the companies in this area in any ways. Anyways, Good to have him amongst us average Americans.

Congratulations to Dr Kao, I am glad that he is able to attend the ceremonies at the White House and in Stockhold despite dealing with Alzheimers, it really invalidates that theory that keeping your mind active will stave off Alzheimers, if a Nobel Prize Winner is not immune then sadly nobody is.
