At least you were not in Saudi at the time you were caught. You get to keep your hands. Genius- stealing from a company with a stock valued at $465/share. Have fun in jail.

Kanan, when you work at Google you don't make "tons of money". They pay you below market wages and hope that you are conent with the glory of working for "Google" and the free Aramark commercial grade food. But you are right, he is probably Ivy-League, Google doesn't hire anything but, they snub their noses at the non-ivy idiots and heaven forbid you don't have a college education cause you're equated to dirt. Guess Gates wouldn't have a chance with Google, not that he needs it!

I believe the other commentators. I would read your comments on any story. I think you are both spot on. Few of the top elite and their friends and political advisers got rich on Google. Let us not forget the venture capitalist who became wealthier off of Google. And for what? I heard that the unemployment rate in E. Palo Alto is 20%. E Palo Alto is what? 4 miles from Google Corporate. Get used to it. The rich will continue to get richer, and the poor, poorer.

All companies have problems like this, even the best ones like HP and Apple. It's because they have one commone weakness, they have to hire workers who are human beings with their many and sometimes unpredicatable flaws.
Posters here may have some emotional bias with GOOG and want to single them out here.
Overall my opinion is that GOOG has been bera, bera good to MTV. As Chico Escuela would say.

People tend to talk too much about what they know too little. Oh... wait is the right to freedom of speech, of course it is, but you also have the right to think wisely before writing things like these:
making tons of money
you don't have a college education cause you're equated to dirt
Really... what do you know about the company, inside not what it looks like from the outside, to give so much certain that you are not writing nonsense?
Relax, take your time to a) get informed, b) avoid believing everything you read (including these last lines of mine)

Captain Mike,
Your snarky post against the other posters here is laughable....did you bother to think wisely before making your post? I thought not with the grammatical errors.
You are correct that Googlers don't make a ton of money....unless they are top management or they were there from the beginning and were awarded stock options.
Regarding college education, you are incorrect. If you don't have a college education, you ARE equated to dirt and will not be considered for hiring, no matter how valuable your skills may be to the company. And it's not just the lack of college education that equates you to dirt, its not having a top tier college education with an excellent GPA. A college education at San Jose State with a 4.0 won't get you in nor will an MIT education with a 3.0.
Sounds like you don't know as much about that company as you thought!
Don't you just love freedom of speech??

Woops!!! Bad move.
I knew this guy in his teens and early twenties....
FYI: He's not Ivy league, in fact, i don't think he has his degree.
He's just a smart guy who probably got bored and needed some cash to impress a girl.
Good luck. You're gonna need it.
