'An honorable recognition of his sacrifice'

Everett Tedder was 28, a young father of two, and had only been with the Mountain View Police Department for two and a half months, when he was shot in the line of duty. Last month, the Mountain View Police Department awarded him the Purple Cross for his bravery and commitment those many years ago.

Ofc Tedder, thank you for your service to the city of Mountain View and for putting yourself in harm's way to help make our community a safer place to live, all these years later.

I'm proud that you have now received this much-deserved recognition. Best wishes to you and your family.

thank you grampa for surving as an exsample to me and my brother i have read the artical.you never liked to talk about what happend that day and i now know that i have a a great man that has taken a lot of pain to recuprate from what youve been through thank you for being a great role modle for the family thank you love james tedder
