I can tell you what happened to a number of the M.V. homeless.

They were displaced when the latest section of the Stevens Creek Trail on the south-west side of El Camino was created.

Just before the new section was made, my friends and I rode our mtn. bikes around that creek-side area on a dirt utility access road, and we would always see at least a half-dozen homeless camps/tents tucked away in the trees and bushes, most of which had more than one occupant judging by the number of voices overheard as we passed them.

Needless to say, you don't see them there anymore.

Once that undeveloped section of M.V. was lost to the homeless, they had few alternatives in town to move to.

They are still here. Just look around a little closer. As a resident on Calderon, I see them in the early morning hours coming out from under the bridges that cross over the creek. Or they are sitting in the park drinking. The counters probley picked the wrong time to find people or are just not that good and finding them.
