Will cars drive off into the sunset?

As Mountain View continues to reevaluate its development options for the next 20 years as part of its General Plan update, one Bay Area environmental group believes it has some sensible ideas for the city to consider.

Apartment parking spaces: If there were enough apartment parking spaces, apartment renters would not park on the street, in front of individual homes, like they do now. Apparently, they own more cars than the current parking spaces.

I want to thank the police officers in light blue that ticket the cars in that occupy the entire bicycle lane on California Street (even when there is a sign). They ticket those cars daily it seems. Now I just need one of those signs in front of my house to keep the apartment neighbors from parking there. How about a neighborhood permit system?
