Cliff is a community gem. Cliff's calm demeanor, knowledge and interpersonal skills make him an excellent choice for battalion chief.... Congratulations Cliff!

Cliff is a great guy for this position: humble but with a good and constant command presence. I've worked with him for years . I think highly of him, but more important, our firefighters in Mountain View think highly of him too!

Congratulations Cliff. Now are you gonna buy me the coffee you owe me!?

Sincere best wishes! Bill (Barney) Crawford

Cliff also attended schools in MV from elementary through high school, so it's good to see another local son work his way up through the ranks. He's been very willing to give some of his time back to the schools, which is much appreciated.

Congratulations Cliff on your much-deserved promotoion.

Cliff is a great guy! Besides, he can still pull off the mustache, even after all these years.
