To Ms. Calvo,
Do you really want our tax dollars spent on providing "housing" to her for the rest of her life?

I would stop by Walgreens on my way for work. Over the years, I have come to know Maria. She is a very nice person and a single Mom. Life is hard raising Kids on minimum wage. She made a mistake and I wish her well.

Ms. Calvo-

That's such an unfortunate statement. Our U.S. constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishment, which means a crime cannot be punished in a way that is not commensurate with its significance.

I am also utterly dumbfounded.

Obviously it's not very obvious. This is a simple text format, there's no tone or body language.

Those of us who know Maria just didn't find it humorous.
